Port Hedland Council approves lease of accommodation for airport construction personnel

Port Hedland Mayor Camilo Blanco stated (Dec-2017) Port Hedland Council "looks forward to working with the PHIA in the New Year to view the plan options and finalise the draft plans" for PHIA's AUD40 million (USD31.5 million) expansion and improvement project for Port Hedland Airport. Mr Blanco reported the Council approved a new lease for Port Haven short term accommodation village, located at the airport, on 13-Dec-2017 to provide housing for construction personnel involved in the project.
