Pionair Australia submits application to IASC for capacity to Tarawa via Honiara and Nauru

Pionair Australia submitted (24-Sep-2019) an application to Australia's International Air Services Commission (IASC) to operate twice weekly Brisbane-Tarawa service via Honiara and Nauru. The proposed passenger frequency will be operated by E190-E2 or subsititute. Pioneer Australia also sought for the following permissions for the capacity allocation.

  • Honiara: Twice weekly return passenger frequency (184 seats) between Brisbane and Honiara with E190-E2 equipment and unrestricted All Cargo Freight Capacity with BAE146-200/300 equipment;
  • Tarawa: Twice weekly return passenger frequency plus twice weekly return All Cargo Freight Capacity with BAE146-200/300 equipment;
  • Nauru: Two combined passenger and cargo frequencies plus unrestricted All Cargo Freight Capacity with BAE146-200/300 equipment;
  • Allocation to be granted five years commencing 11-Mar-2020 and to be utilised by 13-Oct-2020. [more - original PR]
