Philippines' Department of Tourism, via its official Twitter account, announced (27-Nov-2019) it signed a five year tourism promotion agreement with South Korea, to increase visitor volumes between the countries. Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat stated: "South Korea is undisputed in its position as the top source market of the Philippines for nine consecutive years", adding the department: "Will embark on a more aggressive marketing campaign to continue [to] capture a bigger chunk of the Korean market" (Business World Online, 26-Nov-2019).
