Peru to modernise eight regional airports

Peru's Ministry of Transport and Communications announced (Jan-2019) plans for the modernisation of regional airport facilities at Ilo, Jaén, Jauja, Huánuco, Chimbote, Yurimaguas, Rioja and Tingo María. The ministry stated work to improve runways, airfield, fencing and air traffic control towers is to require an investment of USD600 million.
