Perth's Forrestfield airport rail link station more than 50% complete

Perth Airport reported (04-Sep-2019) work on the Forrestfield METRONET Station is now more than 50% complete, with the main building, roof and platform construction "well advanced". The Forrestfield-Airport Link plan includes developing a "vibrant" station precinct and local area. Design of the 1200 bay multi deck car park is also being progressed, ready for construction to start in 2020. TBM Grace has tunnelled more than 5480m and is expected to reach the Swan River in Nov-2019. The first trains at the station are expected to be on the line in late 2021. [more - original PR]
