Paraguay working with airline as it looks to resume direct US services

Paraguay's National Directorate of Civil Aeronautics is reportedly working with a Paraguayan airline to resume direct service to the US, according to president Luis Aguirre (ultimahora, 11-Apr-2018). Mr Aguirre raised the possibility that Amaszonas del Paraguay may be used as a flag carrier. Negotiations regarding the achievement of category one certification in the US are approximately 75% complete, he allegedly noted, with a technical team preparing to "make the first evaluation and help us to get everything ready" for the ICAO audit.
