Papua New Guinea: Lots to learn from New Zealand about tourism

Papua New Guinea (PNG) National Planning Minister Richard Maru said (10-May-2018) New Zealand has a lot to offer in the field of tourism and PNG can learn from the country. Mr Maru said his department would work with PNG Tourism Promotion Authority to see how best they could work on a tourism promotion plan. Mr Maru noted PNG has big potential in tourism but its products are not marketed well, leading to tourists being poorly informed about attractions. In particular, PNG can learn lessons around the development of cultural tourism products and can learn from the model offered by New Zealand. [more - original PR]
