Pacific Island tourism agencies form 'Project COVID-19' tourism group

Tahiti Tourisme, New Caledonia Tourism, Tourism Solomons and the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority formed a four person 'Project COVID-19' tourism group and outlined the four regions' coronavirus statistics to the Prime Ministers of Australia and New Zealand (seatrade-cruise.com, 10-Jun-2020). The group aims to "forge collaboration and positive discussion between the national governments of the South Pacific and Australia/New Zealand and relevant tourism stakeholders throughout the Oceania region" and has received support from a combination of eight airlines and tourism organisations.
