Orange City Council welcomes Qantas service

Orange City Council welcomed (12-Feb-2020) Qantas' announcement to commence Orange-Sydney service on 01-May-2020. Orange Mayor Reg Kidd stated: "Last financial year 79,240 passengers flew through the Orange Regional Airport, up from 70,505 the year before, and even before this announcement, this year's numbers were on track to be even higher again". Orange City Council Deputy Mayor and Airport Advisory Committee chair Sam Romano believes the extra service will make it easier to attract tourists to the region.
