Older aircraft will pay 10 times more than modern ones under new Brussels airport charges measures

Brussels Airport Company CEO Arnaud Feist said new airport charges at Brussels Airport (BRU) will have a 10:1 ratio in favour of less polluting aircraft (The Brussels Times, 09-May-2019). “A highly polluting aircraft will pay 10 times more than a modern one… to discourage companies from still flying with old aircraft to Brussels”, he said. The measures are expected to be introduced in 2021.
