19 October, 2017

NT Airports CEO Ian Kew called for government support for infrastructure projects valued at AUD300 million (USD236.3 million) (NT News, 19-Oct-2017). Planned developments include an underground fuel pipeline from Darwin's East Arm Port to Darwin Airport, expansion of fuel storage capacity at East Arm Port and expansion of solar power systems at Darwin Airport. Mr Kew said government support would allow the projects to commence in 12 months and potentially be complete within five years. He stated: "We've got the money, we've got the expertise, we've got the project delivery capability, all we need is some support from the Northern Territory Government, the Federal Government and Defence to make these projects a reality".
