Norwegian launches new slimline seats on 737 MAX fleet

27 June, 2018

Norwegian received (27-Jun-2018) its first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft with an upgraded cabin featuring Recaro 3710C 'slimline' seats. The carrier said the seats, which have a 30 inch pitch and measure 16.8 inches wide, are "specifically designed to provide for more comfort on longer routes and will give taller passengers more personal space". Each seat weighs approximately 1kg less than the older model, which reduces the weight of the aircraft by more than 200kg overall. The seats will feature on new 737 MAX equipment delivered in 2018. Norwegian will also retrofit its existing fleet of six 737 MAX aircraft delivered in 2017. [more - original PR]
