Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA CEO has not 'thought of selling' 27% stake

16 April, 2018

Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA CEO Bjørn Kjos stated although the LCC is "flattered" by IAG's potential interest in making a full offer for Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, he has not "even thought of selling", adding: "what's interested me is to run the company, I've not thought about shares or a sale" (Reuters/Bloomberg, 13-Apr-2018). Mr Kjos, who holds a 27% shareholding in the LCC, said IAG's interest is not a surprise as other airlines have expressed similar interest in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, but said selling "has not been on our agenda at all". As previously reported by CAPA, IAG acquired a 4.6% stake in the LCC in Apr-2018.
