Northern Territory Government invests additional USD45m to boost tourism

Northern Territory Government announced (23-Apr-2019) additional funding of AUD62.8 million (USD44.6 million) over two years to boost tourism in the Northern Territory. The 2019 funding package, 'TURBO2', aims to attract further leisure and business visitation to the area. TURBO2 includes AUD27.7 million (USD19.6 million) to boost co-operative marketing, promoting the Territory nationally and internationally. AUD20 million (USD14.1 million) of TURBO2 funding will promote major events, community festivals with AUD15.1 million (USD10.7 million) to enhance visitor experiences in parks, arts, cultural offerings and support tourism operators.
