Niki Lauda paid EUR50m for NIKI: report

NIKI founder Niki Lauda reportedly paid EUR50 million for insolvent NIKI, which he plans to relaunch as Laudamotion by the end of Mar-2018 (Kurier, 25-Jan-2018). This reportedly includes the purchase price and startup financing for the carrier's relaunch. Vueling reportedly offered EUR36.5 million for the carrier, of which EUR20 million would have been allocated to creditors as part of the purchase price. The remaining EUR16.5 million would reportedly have been allocated to service resumption.
