NIKI founder Niki Lauda commented on speculation of the European Commission reportedly having competition concerns regarding Deutsche Lufthansa AG's proposed acquisition of NIKI (Taggespiegel/Berliner Zeitung/manager-magazin.de/Der Spiegel, 29-Nov-2017). He said the "looming decision in Brussels suits me", expressing interest to reacquire NIKI should Lufthansa's proposal fall through. "We are ready to talk", Mr Lauda emphasised.
