Newcastle Williamtown Airport secures USD35m loan from ANZ for major infrastructure projects

Newcastle Williamtown Airport signed (06-Jun-2019) a AUD50 million (USD35 million), five year debt facility agreement with ANZ Bank. The airport expects a direct, sustained economic benefit to the Hunter region and northern NSW from a series of major infrastructure projects funded through the facility. Planned future projects include:

  • Enhanced terminal;
  • Expanded car parking facilities;
  • Essential airside facilities, including a new apron, taxiway and aircraft parking bays;
  • The facility will also help fund stage one construction of the airport's Astra Aerolab development, a major defence and aerospace hub.
