New Zealand MBIE publishes 'Tourism Data Domain Plan'

New Zealand's Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) published (07-Sep-2018) its 'Tourism Data Domain Plan', aimed at achieving clarity and agreement from tourism industry and government stakeholders on priorities for tourism statistics. The plan also provides strategies for addressing these priorities over the next five to eight years. MBIE general manger evidence and insights Eileen Basher stated "we live in exciting times" in regards to data and tourism, adding "types of available data, its detail, and the costs of obtaining or using it are changing rapidly".
