New clothing line aims to profit from the Bleisure mindset

A new clothing line is aiming to profit from one of the most fast growing trends in the travel industry "Bleisure".

There's always been a line of blurring travel for work and pleasure, but Bleisure has become a buzzword in the travel industry, and travel providers are attempting to to determine the best ways to cater to a growing appetite by travellers to maximise the value of their business travel.

Now Par en Par (doors wide open in Spanish) is working to design clothes to accommodate the Bleisure lifestyle, according to Fast Company.

The publication stated Par en Par was launched by Laura Choi, who has held positions at Bloomingdales and Warby Parker.

Par en Par, launched in Oct-2017, sources its fabric from India, where the organic fibers are handwoven. For its textile packaging, the company partnered with Projecthrive, a socially conscious initiative committed to female employment and empowerment.

Fast Company cites a couple of convertible designs from Par en Par for the Bleisure set. The Playa Robe could be used a beach coverup "but is also modest enough to be a work dress in a sunny location". The Slip Dress "looks good with a blazer, but would also be appropriate by the pool", the publication stated.

Ms Choi told Birchbox that while travel has become an increasingly important part of our lives, "the clothing that comes with it has not evolved and integrated into our wardrobes". Par en Par's "launch collection is comprised of five consciously created pieces designed with versatility in mind".
