Netherlands' Ministry of Infrastructure considers slot trading at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

13 February, 2018

Netherlands' Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management is reportedly considering permitting slot trading activities at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (parool.nl, 13-Feb-2018). The proposal would allow the airport to maximise the use of aircraft movements and potentially free up slot waiting lists. As previously reported by CAPA, Schiphol reached 496,747 air transport movements in 2017, with government regulation currently allowing for 500,000 movements at the facility p/a.
