22 April, 2019

Netherlands' Minister for Infrastructure and Water Management Cora van Nieuwenhuizen announced the initial research phase of an airspace reclassification process for Lelystad Airport has been completed (upinthesky.nl, 19-Apr-2019). The airspace redesign is intended to increase capacity available for commercial aircraft by 2023, raising the number of flights the airport can handle. The redesign will take into account military aircraft operations, as well as civil and commercial drone flights and the operation of commercial aircraft at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
