Nepal and Australia sign air services agreement

Nepal's Government and Australia's Government reportedly signed a bilateral air services agreement (ASA) on 30-Sep-2019 (Kathmandu Post/My Republica/Online Khabar/nepal24hours.com, 01-Oct-2019). Australian airlines will be permitted to operate up to seven frequencies per week to Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport and up to 28 frequencies per week to Siddharthanagar Gautam Buddha Airport and New Pokhara International Airport. Australian airlines will also be permitted to sign codeshare agreements with Nepali airlines to operate to all domestic destinations in Nepal. Nepali airlines are expected to be permitted to operate up to seven frequencies per week to key destinations in Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Perth.
