12 July, 2018

Nepal Airlines GM Sugat Ratna Kansakar reported the airline plans to use A330-200 aircraft to commence operations to Australia, stating: "We plan to add Japan, South Korea and Saudi Arabia to our international routes in the first phase and Australia in the second phase" (The Himalayan Times/Aviation Nepal/Kathmandu Post, 11-Jul-2018). The measure is part of the airline's strategic shift to focus on high end tourist travel. As previously reported by CAPA, Nepal expects to sign a bilateral air service agreement with Australia in the near future.
