MIAT Mongolian Airlines aims to launch US routes by 2021

MIAT Mongolian Airlines passed a US FAA International Aviation Safety Assessment audit and is working towards gaining an FAA Category I compliant rating with the view to launching direct services to the US by 2021 (Kucinta Setia/Montsame, 15-Jun-2019). MIAT Mongolian Airlines VP N Ganbold said the airline will receive an unspecified new aircraft by Oct-2019, allowing MIAT to operate trans Pacific services.
