Miami International Airport confirmed (05-Sep-2018) LOT Polish Airlines plans to launch four times weekly Warsaw–Miami service from 01-Jun-2019, operating with 252 seat Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The launch marks the airport’s only nonstop route between Florida and Eastern Europe, as well as the its first service to Poland. The service adds to LOT‘s five other nonstop destinations in North America. LOT CEO Rafał Milczarski said: “Miami is currently one of the largest markets in the US so far not served by LOT. It is the first such convenient connection between Central and Eastern Europe and Florida with almost half a million passengers per year travelling between the two regions”. [more – original PR]
