Mexico's Justice System reportedly halted Emirates' plan to commence Dubai-Barcelona-Mexico City service, which Emirates was scheduled to launch on 09-Dec-2019 (Expansion/Reportur, 09-Oct-2019). The Mexican Judge ruling on the matter stated that Mexico's Secretariat of Communications and Transport did not have the competency to sign the 2016 Mexico-UAE MoU which allowed the service.
