Mesa Air Group to remain 'a valued part' of American Airlines portfolio

Mesa Air Group EVP and COO Brad Rich said the group has been told that it "will continue to be part of the American portfolio of carriers going forward" (Seeking Alpha, 11-May-2020). "We remain convinced that American believes we are a valued part of the portfolio", he said, adding: "While a return to normal demand levels would offer the highest likelihood of a contract extension at American, we believe that if there is a silver lining, it is a renewed focus on cost".
