Melbourne Airport donates to Victorian Bushfire Appeal, implements collections throughout terminal

Melbourne Tullamarine Airport, via its official website, announced (Jan-2020) a donation of AUD500,000 (USD345,720) to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, and is collaborating with The Salvation Army to undertake collections through donation tins and retail point of sale devices throughout airport terminals. Melbourne Airport stated the collection resources will be implemented until the end of the 2020 summer season, and supplement them through additional fundraising efforts. The airport has granted an additional one day of volunteer leave in efforts to support the bushfires.
