Malaysia Airlines: US FAA downgrade 'may or may not affect' existing US codeshares

Malaysia Airlines stated its air safety downgrade by the US FAA "May or may not affect" existing codeshares to and from the US with several partner airlines, subject to "The respective airline's own assessment/consideration" (Reuters, 12-Nov-2019). Under its new Category 2 rating, the US FAA will not allow reciprocal codesharing between US and Malaysian carriers.
