Lufthansa announced (18-Jul-2019) it will modernise its entire long haul fleet by the mid 2020s, resulting in CO2 savings of 1.5 million tonnes p/a. From 2022 to 2027, 20 Boeing 787-9 and 20 A350-900s will replace its four engine aircraft, representing an investment of USD12 billion at list prices.
