Lufthansa introduced 'Bagtag' digital baggage labels for passengers on Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines services (touristik-aktuell.de, 09-Jan-2018). Passengers can request electronic labels as well as boarding passes, which are then transmitted via Bluetooth to the Bagtag attached to the baggage.
