Lufthansa Group signs agreement to sell flight tickets on Kakao

Lufthansa Group partnered with Korean chat app service provider Kakao to sell its tickets through the mobile app (Joongang Daily, 23-Apr-2018). The group is the first airline to sell tickets directly through the Kakao platform. The chat app operator upgraded its flight booking and payment system in Mar-2018 and established the 'Airline ticket by Kakao' service with its affiliated search engine Daum Mobile. The platform, scheduled to be added as an in-app service to KakaoTalk soon, offers tickets from 12 partnering travel agencies.
