25 February, 2020

Los Angeles World Airports commenced (25-Feb-2020) testing a common use, self service bag drop system in aisles B and C at Los Angeles International Airport's Tom Bradley International Terminal. During the pilot tests, LAWA will be closely monitoring the system for processing times, the number of successful transactions and the number and types of failures, which could include both technical problems and user generated errors. This data will be used to evaluate and refine the programme. The pilot is expected to last four to eight months. [more - original PR]
