Lithuania selects LOT Polish Airlines to operate Vilnius-London City

Lithuanian Airports selected LOT Polish Airlines for the operation Vilnius-London City service for corporate travellers (wbj.pl/baltic-course.com/rynek-lotniczy.pl, 26-Nov-2018). A five year agreement is expected to be signed by the end of 2018, with the carrier to operate the service 12 times weekly from May-2019. Lithuania's Minister of Transport Rokas Masiulis said the carrier will receive up to EUR3 million p/a in compensation if the service operates with a low load factor. Mr Masiulis added the support measure could be used for other services if successful.
