Lithuania expresses interest in virtual carrier model: report

Lithuania's Government reportedly expressed interest in the virtual carrier model to ensure the operation of nonstop Lithuania services when necessary (err.ee/bb.lv, 09-Jun-2020). Xfly marketing and communication head Toomas Uibo said the carrier is interested in offering aircraft for the operation of Lithuania services. Mr Uibo said Lithuania is looking at the establishment of a virtual carrier that would contract everything to do with air services and focus on sales and marketing. Mr Uibo noted Xfly does not sell tickets but has the potential to operate the services.
