Libyan Airlines looks to switch orders from widebodies to narrowbodies after demand slide

At the recent IATA AGM in Cancun, Mexico, Fathi Al-Shatti, chief executive officer, Libyan Airlines discussed the airline’s fleet plans and how market changes mean that it is now seeking to switch its Airbus A350 order to smaller A320 and A321 equipment to meet the stronger short- and medium-haul demand. Mr Al-Shatti explains how partnerships across Europe can help guide the airline along its growth path with Libya potentially becoming a future transfer point between Europe and Africa.
