LATAM Airlines plans to reduce Santiago-Melbourne frequency from five to three times weekly effective from 09-Aug-2019, as per a 07-May-2019 GDS and inventory timetable display. The carrier also plans to change operational equipment on Melbourne service from Boeing 787-9 to 787-8, effective 02-Oct-2019 (Routes Online, 07-May-2019). As previously reported by CAPA, LATAM plans to launch nonstop Santiago-Sydney service in Nov-2019.
