LATAM holds off US expansion from Peru while JV with American solidifies

CAPA - Centre for Aviation, in a report entitled: 'LATAM Airlines Group #1 in Peru: domestic & regional markets promising', stated (20-Mar-2018) the US remains a strategic market for Peru and LATAM, but LATAM could be holding off on further US expansion until it solidifies a joint venture with its oneworld partner American Airlines. Aside from the short-lived Lima-Washington Dulles service, LATAM's footprint from Peru to North America remained consistent during the past few years.
