Kumho Asiana Group plans to launch the bidding process for Asiana Airlines in Jul-2019 (Yonhap/Korea JoongAng Daily, 28-Jun-2019). Commenting at a shareholders meeting, Asiana Airlines president and CEO Han Chang-soo said: "As the due diligence is going smoothly as planned, the group will give the public bidding notice [for the airline] next month". According to media reports, SK Group, CJ Group, Hanwha and Aekyung are interested in bidding.
