Korean Air to remove first class from 24% of international routes

Korean Air plans to remove first class from 27 international routes from 01-Jun-2019, leaving 35 international routes (30%) with first class (Korea Herald/Yonhap, 01-May-2019). The carrier explained: "We decided to apply two class seat options for flights to tourism destinations where there was low demand for first class". Korean Air said it will offer first class cabin on short haul international routes to major destinations such as Beijing, Osaka, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Jakarta and Hanoi.
