20 May, 2019

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines plans to adjust its check in baggage policy on long haul services, introducing a 'Light' airfare which does not include complimentary check in baggage (De Telegraaf/luchtvaartnieuws.nl, 19/20-May-2019). "Within Europe and to America we have gradually removed checked baggage from the lowest prices", KLM Netherlands CEO Harm Kreulen stated, adding the Light fare will offer savings of 10%-15%.
