KLM to increase capacity 1.4% in winter 2018/19, will focus on South American emerging markets

    KLM Royal Dutch Airlines confirmed (18-Oct-2018) plans to increase capacity 1.4% year-on-year for winter 2018/19. KLMpresident and CEO Pieter Elbers said the carrier will continue to focus on emerging markets in South America where, after a “successful start in the summer season of 2018”, the carrier will continue to operate AmsterdamFortaleza services. Mr Elbers said: “This third direct connection to a Brazilian destination strengthens our position as a major European airline in the Brazilian market, where we serve business and leisure passengers and cargo customers”.
