KLM steered towards becoming ‘modern finance organisation’, digitisation changing employee roles

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines group controller David van Mechelen stated the company is “full of fuel” towards developing a “digital future” becoming a modern finance organisation (Financieel Management, 18-Apr-2018). Mr van Mechelen said KLM will become a “100% digital company”, with the previous pace of innovation “too slow”. Mr van Mechelen emphasised the company is now steered towards evaluating employee “output, contribution and added value”. He added this will contribute to a “complete turnaround, especially for… [those] who did the same job for a long time”.
