KLM postpones delivery of A350-900 aircraft until 2021

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines postponed delivery of its A350-900s from 2020 to 2021 (Up In the Sky/AIN Online, 14/28-Aug-2018). “We always said we expected our A350s between 2020 and 2022… Last year we said the first one would arrive in 2020, now we expect this to be in 2021”, KLM confirmed. As a result of the adjustment, KLM’s Boeing 747-400 aircraft will operate for longer before being phased out. KLM said: “We anticipate the phase out of the 747s to finish in 2021, but also this could still change”. As previously reported by CAPA, KLM also recently received its 13th and final 787-9, and expects to take delivery of 787-10s from Jun-2019.
