KLM Royal Dutch Airlines CEO Pieter Elbers, speaking on the sidelines of the 2019 IATA AGM and World Air Transport summit, said he expects the Crown Lounge refurbishment at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to be 95% completed by the end of summer 2019, with completion scheduled in Oct-2019 (Australian Business Traveller, 02-Jun-2019). He added the carrier’s newly opened ‘Blue’ à la carte restaurant area is “similar to a one Michelin starred restaurant”, justifying dining charges for all passengers at the restaurant.
