KLM Royal Dutch Airlines president and CEO Pieter Elbers stated retaining certain brand differences with Air France is a “strength” (Wirtschafts Woche, 12-Feb-2018). Mr Elbers said efficiencies are prevalent in many aspects, such integration of IT systems for check in and revenue management and aircraft orders. “We ordered our 787 long haul aircraft together and the business class seats are very similar… But the decor and the design are different”, Mr Elbers said.
