KLM and Microsoft sign LoI to expand sustainable air travel

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines signed (03-Oct-2019) an LoI with Microsoft to explore cooperation focused on sustainable air travel. The agreement includes the commitment to purchase sustainable aviation fuel equivalent for all journeys taken by Microsoft employees between the US and Netherlands on KLM and Delta Air Lines. Microsoft and KLM will also explore other areas of cooperation to improve further sustainability and reduce emissions associated with air travel, with a joint aim to develop a blueprint to engage other corporations to stimulate demand for sustainable air travel solutions and achieve ambitions to address their carbon footprint within their own supply chain.
