Kazakhstan's Minister for Investment and Development Zhenis Kasymbek announced (23-Jan-2018) plans to develop regional connectivity, domestic tourism and mail services. As part of the project, work is underway in cooperation with Almaty, on the establishment of a new regional carrier on the basis of Zhetysu Aviakompania. 20 regional aircraft will be acquired for the carrier.
