Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan mutual visa recognition agreement nears completion

Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture and Sport Arystanbek Makhamediuly said work on an agreement between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on mutual recognition of visas held by third country tourists is nearing completion (kapital.kz, 18-Sep-2018). Mr Makhamediuly said Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan also expressed interest in the agreement. Mr Makhamediuly added: "If we are able to reach an agreement, in the future we could receive a kind of Central Asia Schengen, which will allow to receive additional tourist traffic".
