JetSMART Argentina: Restrictions at El Palomar Airport renders LCC model inviable

JetSMART Argentina GM Gonzalo Corral stated the operational restrictions imposed at Buenos Aires El Palomar Airport render the LCC model inviable (Clarin, 12-Sep-2019). Mr Corral stated the carrier will be required to reschedule 100% of its operations and cancel 15% of frequencies. As previously reported by CAPA, Argentina's judicial system imposed the airport's operations hours should be from 07:00 to 22:00. Mr Corral stated: "Our model implies operating the aircraft to the maximum. We are operating around 12 to 13 hours daily with each aircraft and with the new restrictions the maximum would be 10 hours".
